    Thanks Dave – and a great New Year to you too. Crom “Castle” is on the shores of Lough Erne in Co. Fermanagh , Ireland
    . The ruined bits look very impressive, but they are from a fortified British immigrant’s mansion of the early 1600’s, rather than a Norman castle which they resemble. Never mind – they make an appealing shot. The “new” (1820’s) mansion apparently has a wing which can be hired as luxury short-term accommodation. Must pop over for the weekend! Des.
