Victorian Gothic Revival

The examples here of Queen’s  University Belfast, built in the 1840’s, give an idea of a prosperous era when the styles of the past were called upon to accommodate the movers and shakers of the modern world. So different from the steel-glass-concrete edifices I also love to photograph. Comparison is irrelevant – both styles have their beauty and perform their duty of providing an environment for their inhabitants. One question however – and I feel mean asking it :- What will those modern structures look like in another 170+ years? Or is that an irrelevant question?
