Thank you for your comments. I took the picture from the roadside at the top of the Glengesh (Glen of the Swans) Pass in SW Donegal, Ireland. Irish mountains are much smaller than you are used to, and the point of taking would have been about 400 metres above the end of the Glenl. The drop over the hillside to the valley floor is steep, and the road reaches the top via a couple of hairpin bends – a real challenge to a driver as I discovered! By accident I caught the Glen in several “moods” at the same time. The Atlantic Ocean lies in the distance. Des.
